Ok, here we go!!!!
I am feeling somewhat excited this evening as I have landed myself a Job Interview for 10am tomorrow. This position I applied for earlier in the week after seeing it advertised firstly on MyCareer.com.au (from where I sent application in), then in the local St George Sutherland Shire Leader.
I don’t want to jinx myself, so I will write a little more after the interview. My fingers are definitely crossed, though I won’t get my hopes up as yet. This is merely Job Interview #1 in what could be many more to come. Dare I say I am feeling a shade confident & am not nervous at all at this stage. As for tomorrow, all I can say is.. BRING IT ON!!!!

Well, the Interview wasn’t so bad, except the fact it was for a marketing company selling products to retail staff members. Kind of Door-to-Door selling. I am not interested in getting into this kind of field, so after my interview I kindly asked them to remove me from their list.
However, I have received an email from a Children’s Early Educational Toy Store/Company which sounds quite promising. I am awaiting Monday morning when I can give them a call & hopefully can pursue an interview with them. Yet again I will have my fingers crossed & hope that this time around the position will be appealing to me. Will keep posting.

Well since last blog i have had issues trying to leave a new blog. Hopefully this will end soon.
Over the past couple of weeks I have had the interview with toy store & was told to wait two weeks to hear news of whether successful or not.
One whole month has now passed since & as yet am still to hear what’s goin on! Quite unprofessional, especially from a store that has such strong focuses, like sending money overseas to help unfortunate communities.
Anyways…. I have also lined up in the same time a job interview with a baby store. This had to get rescheduled three times before eventually successfully meeting the owner. The store is huge & seems to have a great staff on hand at first impressions.
The owner asked me to come apparently as he was “impressed with my efforts in contacting them for work” even though they weren’t advertising & my resume content.
I left a litle disapointed as i was told there was no current work available though i was to be kept in mind for future reference (including an upcoming sale in a few days). Considering there is a staff member going to become a new first time mother in several months, I didn’t think anything would come my way soon enough.
Lucky for me, I received an email the following day to contact him via phone. I called him & was elated to hear that indeed he was going to emply me during the sale for the 2 consecutive weekends & also have me come in for the day this coming Thursday for a full day of training!!!! I could not relate in words to him how excited & pleased i was!
So hopefully once my foot is in the door, they will note how keen I am to work & how much i enjoy helping families. It may encourage a more permanent position for me in the store.
So I am eagerly awaiting Thursday to get to meet other staff & get a feel for my surroundings in the store. This hopefully will become a new home for me (no matter how far i have to drive to get to it).
